HOUSTON, TEXAS– Hays McConn associates, Robin Blanchette and Ryan Grant, have both been selected to the 2012 Texas Super Lawyers & Rising Stars list. This designation recognizes outstanding young attorneys and is solely awarded to the top 2.5 percent of lawyers within the state each year. As a result of this honor, Blanchette and Grant will be featured in the April 2012 issues of Texas Monthly and Super Lawyers- Rising Stars Edition, and also online at superlawyers.com. This is both Blanchette and Grant's first appearance on this esteemed list.
Ms. Blanchette focuses on a wide variety of clients and companies who are based locally, nationally and internationally and whose industries include oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, distribution, products, property management and owners, insurance and insurance agencies, retail stores and restaurants. Her practice includes: personal injury defense in the oil and gas industry, products and premises liability, wrongful death, dram shop, statutory violations, deceptive trade, ERISA cases, contractual disputes and construction defect litigation to include, handling the prosecution and defense of issues ranging from lien work, defect and delay claims and foreclosure and bond claims. She received a Bachelor of Science in 2000 from Middle Tennessee State University and her Juris Doctorate in 2004 from South Texas College of Law. She is a member of the Houston Bar Association, American Bar Association, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research & Institute and the American Subcontractors Association.
Mr. Grant handles various civil litigation matters including: commercial litigation and personal injury defense within the oil and gas industry; personal injury cases arising from automobile and trucking accidents; civil litigation involving Directors and Officers Liability; products liability cases; admiralty and maritime matters defending employers under the Jones Act and Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act. He received a Bachelor of Science, with a major in finance, from Georgetown University in 2002. In 2006, he received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center. Mr. Grant is a member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, the Houston Bar Association, and the Houston Young Lawyer's Association.
