Quality Cost Effective Representation

  • Quality will be insured by our team approach to your litigation, and we will not substitute lawyers without consultation with you.
  • Your interests and those of your operating companies must be handled ethically and meet the highest standard so that no question may arise which would adversely affect your interest.
  • We will work with your in-house counsel or litigation managers to develop strategies to provide the most effective legal services to the operating companies at reasonable cost. We will partner with in-house lawyers and paralegals to manage cases and develop standardized procedures for case development to eliminate unnecessary actions.
  • We will provide case and litigation management to ensure that your interests are being addressed on a timely basis.
  • We will assign attorneys commensurate with the difficulty of the task and the seriousness of the case involved, to ensure that value is given and cost efficiency is achieved in the legal representation provided.
  • We will meet your internal needs in terms of timely reporting, discovery and interaction with the operating companies' personnel to ensure that files are handled in an efficient consistent manner without disruption of the companies' operations. Meeting those internal needs may also include, if appropriate, a task based billing format to provide you the most information available to evaluate work performed.
  • We are open to prompt resolution of cases and alternative dispute resolution procedures to see that cases are disposed of at an early stage.
  • We are available to conduct training of your operating companies' personnel, where appropriate, concerning measures which could be taken to avoid future litigation in certain areas.
  • We will make efficient use of paralegals to address tasks that can be more effectively handled by them.
  • We will bill for only one attorney's attendance at depositions unless the magnitude of the case and your approval warrants otherwise.
  • We believe that in repetitive cases involving similar issues, it would be appropriate to coordinate statewide efforts to centralize discovery responses and expert witnesses on matters of common issues.
  • We will maintain continuity in the assignment of files to see that efficiency is maintained. Files will not be transferred within our firm unless a rare circumstance warrants it and only after consultation with you and assurance that no cost will be involved to the client in such a transfer.
  • With your approval, we will favor communication with you by e-mail to improve efficiency and reduce costs associated with routine correspondence.
  • We will utilize and encourage the use of in-house counsel's unique knowledge of the business client to effect cost saving.
  • We will work with your representatives to develop cost reduction from third-party suppliers such as court reporting and records firms.
  • After consultation with you, if it is determined that the file is one which can be effectively handled by an associate without a shareholder assigned to the file, then this will be done, with our shareholders always available to provide advice and counsel without charge.
